Anton Christian's "Memories of Water"

The west entrance and stairwell of the MCI building has been recently embellished with the work "Memories of Water" by the internationally renowned Tyrolean artist Anton Christian. The work of art is a representation of a waterfall, which falls symbolically into a cliff and connects all floors of the MCI building with its height of ca. 13.5 meters.

Metapher

A building in the service of teaching and learning and research is vertically permeated by the work, which I call "Memories of Water". Water, the origin of all life, should be a metaphor for the growth which is encouraged and expected here.
    Anton Christian

Symbiose

Education and art are the heart of the social engagement of the Raiffeisen-Landesbank Tirol. As an innovative financial services organisation, we have supported the development of the Management Center Innsbruck from the beginning. What could be closer than connecting art and education in an innovative way and making artistic impact in ever new forms accessible to an interested public ?
CEO Dr. Fritz Hakl, Raiffeisen Landesbank Tirol

Motivation

Shakespeare's Hamlet claimed, "There is more on earth than your school wisdom can imagine ". The connection between science and practise and the social impact of action are a mandate in MCI's mission. The confrontation with art produces creative tension in the motivated and offers our customers and guests stimulus for future-oriented solutions.
    Dr. Andreas Altmann, CEO, MCI
