international relations

Teaching, learning and research in an international environment and the active participation in global dialogue are integral parts of our corporate philosophy and are positively experienced and valued by our students and instructors.

MCI's international orientation is achieved through consistent integration of international topics in our degree and continuing education programs, successful participation in international and European education and research programs, the emphasis on foreign languages, the opportunity of study and work abroad programs as well as the invitation of globally oriented instructors.

MCI therefore is not only able to provide its graduates with an internationally recognized education program, but also to make a contribution to the economic, political, scientific and cultural understanding and development on a multilateral level.

Since its beginning, MCI has been involved in international co-operation projects such as Sokrates, Leonardo or the EU program for research, technological development and demonstration. We are currently engaged in the development of a quality-oriented network of international partner institutions and an attractive study abroad program.

partner institutions all over the world

The attractive network of carefully selected partner universities and institutes of higher education all over the world grants students enrolled in full-time degree programs the opportunity to spend a semester abroad (optional), receiving credits for the courses they attend. Thanks to the students and lecturers from these partner institutions who in turn spend a semester at MCI, and due to the international orientation of the programs and the use of English as a teaching language, also those MCI students who stay in Innsbruck are given the opportunity to experience an international studying environment and to establish reliable networks.

As working students attending part-time degree programs are usually not able to spend an entire semester abroad due to their job obligations, MCI's concept provides that the students of the degree program "Business & Management" attend an intensive teaching block of several weeks at a partner institution abroad during their eighth semester (applicable to all students who started the program in 2001 or later).

Partnerships with top-notch institutions abroad warrant that the students of the General Management Executive MBA program acquire a substantial insight into international contents as well as the ability to stand their ground in an international setting and move sure-footedly in different cultural environments.

This diploma supplement follows the model developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES. The purpose of the supplement is to provide sufficient independent data to improve international transparency and fair academic and professional recognition of qualifications (diplomas, degrees, certificates etc.). It is designed to provide a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies that were pursued and successfully completed by the individual named on the original qualification to which this supplement is appended. It should be free from any value judgements, equivalence statements or suggestions about recognition. Information should be provided in all eight sections. Where information is not provided, an explanation should give the reason why.
