Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) is an integral part of the unique "Open University Innsbruck" concept in Austria and has attained a leading position in international higher education as a result of its on-going quality and customer orientation.

MCI strives to mentor motivated people, who want to build their future through goal-oriented continuing education, in their personal and professional development. MCI offers graduate, non-graduate and post-graduate educational programmes of the highest standard to senior and junior managers from all management levels and branches.

MCI's programmes focus on all levels of the personality and include areas of state-of-the art knowledge from science and practice relevant to business and society. As an internationally oriented information and communication centre, MCI is open to new perspectives, methods and projects. Constructive dialogue and co-operative development of interdisciplinary competences are two of the pillars of teaching and learning at MCI.

MCI supports the competitiveness of organisations and influences the professionalisation of business, administration, politics and culture. Applied research and development are particularly valued at MCI for the strengthening of innovation in local companies and the ensuring of quality-oriented instruction.

International Accreditation

FIBAA
The FIBAA – “Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation” is the most important quality accreditation agency for postgraduate master degree programs in the German-speaking countries with internationally recognized quality standards. The General Management Executive MBA and the Master of Science in Management MSc of MCI are accredited by the FIBAA.


International Memberships

European Foundation for Management Development
The „European Foundation for Management Development“ (EFMD is an international membership organization, based in Brussels, Belgium, with the goal to provide a unique forum for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development). MCI became an official member of the EFMD in June 2007.
   
Zentrum für Wissensmanagement
The Center for Science & Research Management is an international platform for science and research management with a flexible organizational structure. The Center involves top-notch foreign institutions, experts and trainers through an extended international network.
   
Campus of Excellence
CAMPUS OF EXCELLENCE is a unique cooperative project with the main goal to bring together companies and young high potentials.
   
The Association of Private Universities represents the members’ (universities) interests with regard to politics, administration and economy. Additionally the association provides an information platform for students and lecturers.
   
Eurasia-Pacific Uninet
EURASIA-PACIFIC UNINET is a network, which aims at establishing contacts and scientific partnerships between Austrian universities, universities of applied sciences, other research institutions and member institutions in East Asia, Central Asia, South Asia and the Pacific region.

Lifelong Learning Programme
MCI has been awarded the Erasmus University Charter (EUC) in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) 2007-2013. The Erasmus University Charter (EUC) provides the general framework for all European co-operation activities Management Center Innsbruck may carry out within the Erasmus Programme. The Charter sets out the fundamental principles and the minimum requirements underlying the Erasmus activities a higher education institution has to respect.
   
Europäisches Forum Alpbach
The European Forum was founded in August 1945, first as European Higher Education Weeks and since 1955 it is known as European Forum Alpbach. The event brings together personalities of science, economy, culture and politics, with several Nobel laureates among them.


Certified Test Administration Site

MCI is one of only five Certified Test Administration Sites in Austria offering the TOEFL Test. The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Test is a world wide standardized test that measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written and heard in academic settings. Many universities especially in English-speaking areas such as the USA rely on TOEFL scores to select students with the English skills needed to succeed. MCI offers the TOEFL Internet-based Test.
