Part 1 (B. Hupfauf):
Practical performance of cutting tasks with laboratory equipment and evaluation of experiments in order to identify essential operating parameters, e.g. for the following cutting procedures:
- Absorption
- Extraction
- Ion exchanger
- Ultrafiltration

Part 2 (S. Ingruber):
Practical performance of a cutting task by rectification with an experimental pilot plant; additional contents:
- Reading R&I flowcharts
- Work with a PCS
- Work at explosion-proof work stations
