Graduates of the Master program Engineering, Environmental & Biotechnology work at the interface of natural science and engineering and are competent in the basics of both fields and their interdisciplinary links. They play a holistic engineering role with a focus on the development, steering, optimization and monitoring of bio-engineering, process engineering and environmental engineering processes.
The Master program Engineering, Environmental & Biotechnology lasts four semesters providing courses totalling 70 semester credit units or 1,050 hours of classes. Classes are taught mainly in German, although some classes and exams may also be conducted in English. The academic year comprises two semesters, a winter semester lasting from the beginning of October to the end of January and a summer semester from the beginning of March to the end of June. Classes are normally held during the day from Monday to Friday.
