A growing level of professionalism in social work will be one of the big social challenges of the next few decades, and the establishment at the MCI of an FH study program for Social Work in fall 2003 was a milestone in this context. This is an exemplary program at the international level at the interface of social work and non-profit management.
To achieve the ambitious goals set for the study program, the MCI is dependent on the continuous support of various partner organizations and friends. “Social Work & Friends” is the name of the support group now being developed to provide advice and moral support for the study program. As such it reflects a sense of shared responsibility, academic acceptance and the social importance of the program.
