Who could assess the quality of a university more reliably than scientific studies, independent media, external decision-makers, and customers?

The results provide guidance in an increasingly complex higher education landscape and promote transparency and accountability. Participation in university comparisons, rankings, and surveys puts the Entrepreneurial School® in touch with other institutions, fostering dialogue and opportunities for comparison. CHE University Ranking 2026

MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® achieved outstanding results in the CHE University Ranking 2026: In the student survey, the participating bachelor’s degree programs received consistently excellent ratings, confirming the high quality of the academic programs and teaching. MCI achieved 87 out of 92 individual ratings in the top tier.

Approximately 35,000 students at 265 universities and colleges evaluated their academic programs. The following MCI bachelor’s degree programs participated in the CHE University Ranking 2026:

The highest ratings were achieved in the areas of study organization, support provided by lecturers, and professional and practical relevance. Students also awarded excellent scores for academic support services, course offerings, and digital teaching elements.

In addition, key metrics related to academic programs and research were taken into account, such as internationalization, connections to the professional world, and timely completion of degrees. In these areas, MCI received numerous ratings in the top tier, as well.

Eduniversal Ranking 2025

MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® was awarded “4 Palmes of Excellence” in the global Eduniversal Ranking 2025, making it one of the “Top Business Schools with significant international influence.”

The Eduniversal Ranking is based on quantitative and qualitative factors as well as evaluations by rectors and deans of leading business schools on all continents. Particular consideration is given to criteria such as reputation, internationalization, global networking, recognized accreditations, attractiveness, and career prospects for students.

Headquartered in Paris, Eduniversal is a global ranking and rating agency that specializes in evaluating universities and degree programs and supports prospective students in choosing their field of study. When awarding the “Palmes of Excellence” levels of excellence, special consideration is given to selected quality and internationalization criteria such as the results of accreditation procedures, rankings, and international university partnerships.

CHE University Ranking 2025

The Entrepreneurial School® in Innsbruck impresses with excellent results in the CHE University Ranking 2025.

The following Bachelor's degree programs achieve top ratings of up to 4.7 stars in the student survey:

Overall, the MCI achieved 57 out of 68 possible individual ratings in the top range (from 3.8 out of 5 stars) and is therefore well above the average of the participating universities in German-speaking countries.

Students rated the MCI degree programs particularly highly in in the areas of support from teaching staff, study organization, practical relevance, career orientation and introduction to academic work.

MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® also stands out in fact-based categories and ranks among the top institutions in areas such as practical industry engagement, international orientation, timely degree completion and support at the start of studies. Universum Talent Research Survey 2024

The annual "UNIVERSUM Talent Research Survey" has once again highlighted exceptional results for MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®. MCI has received top scores across categories like the quality of teaching, student support, practical relevance, career opportunities, satisfaction, recommendations, university services, and its international network—consistently outperforming national averages in Austria.

MCI achieved an impressive 7.6 out of 10 for overall student satisfaction, compared to the national average of 7.2. MCI also excelled in the category "recommendation of the university", scoring 7.8 points, with more than three-quarters of respondents saying they would choose MCI again for their studies.

As in previous years, students expressed high satisfaction with MCI’s Career Services, awarding it 7.4 points—0.7 points higher than the Austrian average. Students particularly appreciated the annual MCI Recruiting Forum, the interactive MCI Job Portal, and personalized career consultations.

MCI is widely recognized for providing an excellent education, fostering entrepreneurial thinking and action, and offering strong international ties, along with an outstanding reputation and excellent opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

Universum is the global leader in employer branding and talent management. Based in Sweden, the company conducted the survey from November 2023 to April 2024, polling 3,702 students across Austria. The findings are part of the world’s largest career survey of more than one million students and young professionals worldwide.

Eduniversal Business School Ranking 2024

With "3 Palmes of Excellence", MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® was recently ranked again among the best universities in the world in the Eduniversal Business School Ranking 2024.

Eduniversal, headquartered in Paris, is a global ranking and rating agency specializing in the evaluation of higher education institutions and programs of study and assisting prospective students in their choice of study. Special consideration is given to various quality and internationalization criteria such as the results of accreditation procedures, rankings and international university partnerships when awarding the "Palmes of Excellence".

CHE University Ranking 2024

MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® has once again received top ratings in the university ranking of the International Center for Higher Education Development (CHE). With an excellent overall score of 4.5 stars, the Bachelor's degree program in Digital Business & Software Engineering, which participated for the first time, successfully came out of the student survey.

The MCI received particularly high ratings for the organization of studies, the appropriate number of participants in the courses and the dedicated support provided by teaching staff. In addition, students appreciate the comprehensive library facilities, the high level of practical orientation in teaching, the numerous career guidance offers, the extensive international network and the excellent career prospects.

Overall, the MCI received the best ratings of all participating universities in Austria.

Eduniversal Master Ranking 2024

MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® reports outstanding rankings in the global Eduniversal Master Ranking 2024.

This year, the globally renowned ranking includes the best 5,820 master's and MBA programs from 56 fields and 153 countries, with four participating MCI master's programs making their mark:

MCI ALUMNI SURVEY 2023

Quality is no coincidence, but the result of many years of consistent work - the latest MCI Alumni Survey once again confirms this statement. Graduates of the Entrepreneurial School® gave excellent evaluations with regard to study and service quality, reputation and recognition of the university at home and abroad as well as career opportunities after graduation. These results correspond with the extremely high appreciation they receive from employers as well as the impressive professional development paths of the graduates.

Bachelor & Master

MCI recommendation: 86.2 % of the alumni would recommend MCI "definitely" or "most probably" to friends, acquaintances, and colleagues.
Overall rating of the study program: 84.8 % of the alumni rate their MCI study program as “excellent” or “good”.
Choice of study program: 87.7 % of all respondents say they had "definitely" or "most probably" chosen the right study program.
Student support: 86.1 % of all respondents rate the support they received during their studies as "excellent" or "good".
Excellent career opportunities after graduation: Outstanding results are achieved with the number of job offers MCI alumni already have at the time of graduation. Bachelor alumni can impress with an average of 2.4 job offers and Master alumni can stand out with an average of 2.8 job offers.

Executive Master

MCI recommendation: 88.3 % of the alumni would recommend MCI "definitely" or "most probably" to friends, acquaintances, and colleagues.
Overall rating of the study program: 93.3 % of the alumni rate their executive master as “excellent” or “good”.
Choice of study program: 94.1 % of all respondents say they had "definitely" or "most probably" chosen the right executive master.
Student support: 100 % of all respondents rate the support they received during their studies as "excellent" or "good".
Excellent career opportunities after graduation: Outstanding results are achieved with respect to the career development. At the time of enrolling for their studies, none of the respondents were employed in top management, whereas 18.8 % of the graduates worked in top management at the time of undertaking this survey.

Certificate Courses

MCI recommendation: 96.7 % of the alumni would recommend MCI "definitely" or "most probably" to friends, acquaintances, and colleagues.

Overall rating of the study program: 92.3 % of the alumni rate their certificate course as “excellent” or “good”.
Choice of study program: 96.7 % of all respondents say they had "definitely" or "most probably" chosen the right certificate course.
Student support: 88.5 % of all respondents rate the support they received during their certificate course as "excellent" or "good".
Excellent career opportunities after graduation: Outstanding results are achieved with respect to the career development. At the start of their certificate course, 11.1 % of the respondents were employed in top management, whereas 18.5 % of the graduates worked in top management at the time of undertaking this survey.

EDUNIVERSAL BUSINESS SCHOOL RANKING 2023

With "3 Palmes of Excellence", MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® was recently ranked again among the best universities in the world in the Eduniversal Business School Ranking 2023.

In addition, MCI received the award "Excellent Business School with reinforcing international influence" among the award-winning universities from 153 countries.

UNIVERSUM TALENT RESEARCH SURVEY 2023

MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® is once again delighted with its outstanding results in the international UNIVERSUM Talent Research Survey 2023.

As the global market leader in employer branding & talent management and globally active company based in Sweden, UNIVERSUM conducted the survey from October 2022 to April 2023 among 7,088 students in Austria. The results are part of the world's largest career test of its kind among more than 1 million students and young professionals. 730 students at the MCI in Innsbruck gave top ratings to the Entrepreneurial School®.

Students were particularly satisfied with the MCI Career Services, which received a score of 7.4 points, while the overall score in Austria is 6.6. The professional career fairs, such as the annual MCI Recruiting Forum, the interactive MCI job portal, the numerous career mentoring offers, and the MCI's strong international network are most appreciated and used accordingly.

MCI also achieved 7.4 points in general university satisfaction, compared to the Austrian average of 7.1. Three quarters of all students would choose to study at the Entrepreneurial School® again.
Students most frequently associate the MCI with its pronounced employability and forward-looking career opportunities. In addition, they emphasized the intensive cooperation with business and science in Austria and abroad which elevates the quality of teaching and the extensive relationships with future employers.
The friendly and open environment, the attractive location, and the many opportunities to study abroad for a semester/year or complete an internship abroad were also highlighted. Students particularly appreciate the MCI's high level of innovation and strong entrepreneurial spirit and praise the valuable support in entrepreneurial matters.

CHE UNIVERSITY RANKING 2023

The recently published Comparison of Universities 2023 by the international Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) once again delivers excellent results for the MCI.

The subject of the CHE University Comparison 2023 were Bachelor's degree programs in the field of Business & Social Sciences as well as Industrial Engineering, thus for the MCI the following Bachelor's degree programs:

Without exception, students awarded top ratings for all degree programs, with excellent 4 and 5-star ratings (with a maximum of 5 stars to be awarded as the top grade!). In the comprehensive student evaluation, the MCI is above average for all participating universities in almost all indicators.

Above all, the evaluating students appreciated the study organization, the support provided by the lecturers, the practical relevance, the introduction to scientific work, the digital learning environment, the support during studies and the preparation for studying abroad.

In addition, students gave top ratings for the contacts with professional practice as well as the career orientation, the reliable duration of studies within the designated time and the comprehensive support at the beginning of the studies.

UNIVERSUM CAREER TEST 2022

In 2022, the MCI once again took part in the Universum Career Test. Universum is the global market leader in employer branding and talent management. The global company, based in Sweden, conducted the survey in Austria from November 2021 to July 2022 among 9,774 students. The results are part of the world's largest career test of its kind among more than 1 million students and young professionals. 770 survey participants were students of the MCI in Innsbruck and gave top scores to the Entrepreneurial School®.

The Entrepreneurial School® achieved excellent results in several categories of this year's survey, placing well above the Austrian average. The MCI scored an outstanding 7.5 points for general university satisfaction, compared to the Austrian average of 7.2. Students are also highly content with the MCI's Career Services, rating the wide range of services offered at 7.3 points, while the overall Austrian score is 6.5.
Furthermore, the survey assessed students' satisfaction with online courses and career services during COVID-19. MCI received top ratings from students in both areas. Online courses during COVID-19 reached 7.3 points, compared to an Austria-wide score of 6.8.

MCI students of Life Sciences gave particularly high ratings: 80% would choose to study at the Entrepreneurial School® again and award an impressive 8.2 points for general university satisfaction in natural sciences.

For the second year in a row, the Entrepreneurial School® was awarded the Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Employability, an award that reflects MCI's extraordinary commitment to promoting the employability of its students.

U-MULTIRANK 2022: TOP RESULTS FOR MCI

Once again, the renowned "U-Multirank", initiated by the European Commission, lists MCI as a top performer among the numerous universities and colleges taking part. With 16 top ratings, the Entrepreneurial School® also tops the Austrian ranking.

The Entrepreneurial School® received excellent ratings in the categories "Teaching & Learning" and "Knowledge Transfer". The qualification as well as the didactic skills of the research and teaching staff are awarded top scores. The fact that students generally complete their bachelor's and master's degrees within the minimum period of study is also particularly appreciated. In addition, the close cooperation with companies, numerous partnerships and spin-off activities contribute to a beneficial knowledge transfer.

Top feature: internationality

U-Multirank also awarded the MCI excellent positions in the "International Orientation" group, in particular for the high mobility of students, the numerous English-language study programs and the international composition of research and teaching staff and students.

Launched in 2008 at the initiative of the European Commission, U-Multirank is a unique international university ranking, characterized by a multi-dimensional approach, which in addition to the evaluation of publication and patent databases and statistical data also considers student evaluations. In total, feedback from more than 100,000 students on the quality of their university was included. The MCI has been participating in U-Multirank as of 2017 and has since achieved excellent results and top global rankings.

Once again, the Entrepreneurial School® has scored outstanding results in the University Ranking by the Centre for Higher Education (CHE).

This year's ranking focuses on study programs in the field of Technology & Life Sciences. The following MCI Bachelor's degree programs were evaluated:

EDUNIVERSAL BUSINESS SCHOOLS RANKING 2021

With 3 out of 5 "Palms of Excellence" the Entrepreneurial School® was ranked among the best Austrian universities in the Eduniversal Business School Ranking 2021. The ranking is published annually and takes the 1,000 best universities worldwide into account.

Within the award-winning universities from 154 countries, the MCI additionally receives the distinction "Excellent Business School with reinforcing international influence", which is only awarded to 400 universities worldwide.

MCI AGAIN WITHIN THE TOP 25 IN THE U-MULTIRANK WORLDWIDE

For the third time in a row, the renowned "u-Multirank", initiated by the European Commission, lists the MCI among the "Global Top 25 Performers". MCI receives the label in the category “Cooperation index” which includes the collaboration with strategic research partnerships, students in international joint degrees, students in internships as well as international co- publications.

In addition, the Entrepreneurial School® was also able to pick up excellent results in the category "Teaching & Learning". Above all, students appreciate that a high number of students complete their bachelor and master studies in the minimum period of study, but also that there is a high gender balance.

The MCI also received excellent results in the category "International Orientation". In particular, student mobility, foreign-language master programs and international academic staff receive top ratings.

Launched in 2008 on the initiative of the European Commission, U-Multirank is a unique multidimensional and international university ranking. U-Multirank examines various dimensions and analyses not only large and traditional universities, but also focuses on smaller as well as specialized universities. The survey is characterized by a multidimensional approach and takes into account not only the evaluation of publication and patent databases and statistical data, but also student evaluations. In total, the feedback of more than 100,000 students on the quality of their university was taken into account.

The MCI has been participating in U-Multirank since 2017 and has been able to achieve excellent results and top global rankings from its first year of participation.

UNIVERSUM STUDENT EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION

For the first time, the Entrepreneurial School® was awarded the "Student Experience Certificate of Recognition" initiated by Universum, the global leader in employer branding and talent management.

The "Student Experience Certificate of Recognition" seal has been awarded a total of three times and recognizes the following achievements:

The certification is based on the Universum Career Test, the world's largest career test for students and young professionals. The survey was conducted in Austria from November 2020 to April 2021 among 11,010 students. 810 survey participants were students of the MCI in Innsbruck and gave top marks to the Entrepreneurial School®, as they have done for many years.

The results are part of the world's largest career test of its kind among more than 1 million students and young professionals. 810 survey participants were students of the MCI in Innsbruck and gave top marks to the Entrepreneurial School®, as they have done for many years.

With an overall score of 7.6 points, MCI students gave the Entrepreneurial School® excellent marks for university satisfaction. Across Austria, this satisfaction score is 7.2 points. In 2021, 74% of all students said they would choose to study at the MCI again, while the average value for re-choosing a university attended across Austria is 68%.

New this year is the survey of satisfaction with online courses and Career Services during COVID-19. MCI has above-average student ratings on both counts: satisfaction with online courses during COVID-19 scored 7.7 points, compared to an Austria-wide average of 6.8, while satisfaction with Career Services during COVID-19 scored 7 points, compared to 6 points in Austria overall.

MCI students also awarded an exceptional 7.4 points for Career Services, compared to an average score of 6.3 in Austria. In addition, MCI students are particularly enthusiastic about the excellent education offered, the attractive location of the Entrepreneurial School®, the friendly and open environment at MCI, the outstanding employment opportunities, and innovation and entrepreneurship in the survey.

INDUSTRY MAGAZINE RANKING 2021

The Entrepreneurial School® once again achieves top ranking results in the Industry Magazine ranking.

With an image score of 2.26 (Scoring based on school grading system), the MCI once again achieved a place in the top 3 in this year's evaluation. A high degree of internationality is regarded as a key competence at the MCI. A demanding admission process brings the best students from all over the world, specifically from 85 countries, to the Entrepreneurial School® in Innsbruck. The international staff also contributes to the success of the university, with 35 countries currently represented.

For the rankings published in an issue of the Austrian business medium, 150 HR managers in Austrian companies with at least 50 employees were surveyed at random on a representative basis according to province, sector and company size in cooperation. The survey was conducted by the opinion research institute Online Access Panel.

CHE UNIVERSITY RANKING 2020 - Master's programs in economics

With a total of 42 outstanding ratings in the top group, the master's programs in the field of economics achieve excellent rankings in the comparison of universities by the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE). Especially in the category 'Contact with professional practice' all surveyed study programs achieved excellent ratings.

The MCI Master's program "Management, Communication & IT" achieved particularly good results. The master's program received an excellent overall rating and was particularly convincing in terms of the organization of studies, support during studies and the transition to the master's program.

The master's programs "Entrepreneurship & Tourism", "International Business & Law" and "International Business & Management" also received excellent ratings for study organization and the transition to the master's program.

This is the result of the 2020 ranking by the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE), which compares universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany and Austria as part of a study survey.

EXECUTIVE MASTER

MCI recommendation: 93.8% of MCI alumni of Executive Master Programs would recommend MCI "definitely" or "most probably" to friends, acquaintances and colleagues.
Overall assessment of the study program: 92.9% of MCI Executive alumni award MCI a "very good" or "good" for the completed MCI study program.
Choice of study: 96.9% of all respondents say they had "definitely" or "most probably" chosen the right study program.
Support during studies: 96.4% of all respondents rate support during studies as "excellent" or "good".
Excellent career opportunities after graduation: The alumni of the MCI Executive Masters Programs have shown remarkable professional development. At the time of the survey, 41.4% of the alumni are in middle management and 20.7% in top management positions.

MBA RANKING 2020

TOP PLACE FOR MCI IN MBA RANKING – 2ND PLACE FOR RECOMMENDATION RATE AMONG A TOTAL OF 18 AUSTRIAN MBA PROVIDERS

In the MBA ranking of the Austrian ‘Industry Magazine’, the Entrepreneurial University® received the second best recommendation rate amongst all Austrian MBA providers examined.

According to the study, MCI features a high recommendation rate as well as above-average brand awareness. Years ago, the MCI began converting its MBA programs to a blended learning concept with mobile and online formats. Working students not only want an MBA program that promotes career development and prepares them for international challenges in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, but also that its didactic format is suitable for managers whose professional activities cannot be limited to a single location. The online elements thus improve the compatibility of work, further education and family. Students come to the campus to get to know each other, for the personal exchange between students and lecturers and for the important networking opportunities.

Executives opt for an MBA at MCI to improve their professional and personal development. In addition to the flexibility that comes with online learning, managers also value personal interaction, joint learning opportunities and networking directly at the university.

In March 2020, the opinion research institute IMAD surveyed 151 managing directors and human resource managers of Austrian companies on behalf of the ‘Industry magazine’. The survey examined the level of awareness of Austrian MBA providers, the willingness to recommend MBA providers to others and basic expectations of an MBA program. The top 100 companies in each federal state formed the population of the survey.

CHE UNIVERSITY RANKING 2020

The MCI once again achieved excellent results in the university comparison conducted by the International Center for Higher Education (CHE). This year the study programs in economics, social sciences and industrial engineering and management were assessed. The Entrepreneurial School® achieved 88 places in the top group, which corresponds to 60% of all quality factors evaluated and 50 places in the middle group.

With the Industry Magazine Ranking 2020, the Entrepreneurial School® chalks up another victory: MCI won this year's ranking while achieving an impressive image value of 1.66 (rating in the school grading system). Moreover, the MCI is the only university that has been able to regularly rank in the top 3 in previous years. The editors of the study consider the MCI to be an entrepreneurially oriented university with an extremely diverse range of Bachelor, Master and executive programs, which scored particularly in the segment of customized continuing education.
The survey was conducted in cooperation with the opinion research institute IMAD and asked personnel managers and managing directors of the TOP-100 companies in each province about their assessment of the education at Austrian universities of applied sciences.

EDUNIVERSAL GLOBAL TOP 50 RANKING

For the third time in a row, MCI’s Master Degree program "Entrepreneurship & Tourism" has been listed in the internationally renowned Worldwide Ranking of "EDUNIVERSAL" with top marks in the fields of awareness, employers recognition as well as student satisfaction. The MCI’s Master Degree program is the only Master Degree program in Austria to achieve this accolade.
"EDUNIVERSAL" measures the quality of the programs based on three main criteria:

Awareness and recognition by potential employers
Positions and starting salaries of graduates directly after graduation
Student satisfaction with the quality of their studies.

The Best Masters "EDUNIVERSAL" ranking offers a globally detailed assessment of Master’s and MBA programs and is designed to help potential students in the selection of suitable study programs. The 2019 ranking analysed more than 20,000 Master's and MBA programs in 50 subject areas, and ranked 5,360 programmes from 886 colleges and universities in 136 countries worldwide.

CHE UNIVERSITY RANKING 2019

The current University Comparison carried out by the International Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) once again provides excellent results for the Entrepreneurial School®, which secured 36 places in the top positions with its quality-oriented technical and scientific courses. This corresponds to 60 % of all evaluated quality criteria.

The exemplary results of the technical degree programs at MCI show a further improvement over the previous survey three years ago. In particular, the programs score well in the following quality criteria:

UNIVERSUM TALENT RESEARCH 2019

Universum is the global leader in Employer Branding and Talent Management. The globally active company conducted the survey in Austria from November 2018 to March 2019, which involved 10,256 students. The results are part of the world's largest career test of its kind, involving more than 1 million students and young professionals alike.

The survey results demonstrate highest rates of MCI student satisfaction with their university. This equivocates to 8.1 out of 10 possible points, which clearly sets it apart from the Austrian average of 7.5. The students are particularly satisfied with the international recognition and international orientation of their university, the open and friendly environment at an attractive university location, and the pronounced prestige associated with an MCI education, with regard to the development of individual careers and career paths. This is also reflected in the impressive evaluation of Career Services. The students scored this with an outstanding 8 points, while the Austrian average is 6.5 points.

TOP 25 IN U-MULTIRANK

The renowned "U-Multirank", initiated by the European Commission, lists the MCI Management Center Innsbruck among the 25 best universities worldwide in two categories:

In addition, there are a number of other excellently ranked indicators, for example in the categories of successful knowledge transfer to industry and strategic research cooperation. Excellent rankings also apply to the entire field of teaching and studies.

The U-Multirank compares the quality of 1,711 universities and institutes of higher learning in 96 countries worldwide. In total, feedback from more than 100,000 students was assessed. With two rankings in the "GLOBAL TOP 25", MCI is one of the few institutes to have achieved such sensational results.

UNIVERSUM RANKING 2018

Universum, the global specialist in employer branding and talent management, again conducted a survey among 10,125 students in Austria in 2018. The survey was focused on university perceptions, soft skills and career ambitions. The results of the Universum Talent Survey 2018 are part of the world's largest career test of its kind, with over one million students and young professionals surveyed annually.

The University Report, as part of the Universum Talent Research 2018, once again posted a top score for general university satisfaction for MCI with 8.1 out of 10 points. Asked once again about the choice of study, 85% of students would again choose to study at MCI. Austria wide, this score amounts to 7.3 points or 68%. MCI's Career Services stand out exceptionally well: Students award an excellent 8.1 points, while the Austrian average is 6.4 points.

The focal point of the large-scale survey was again put on career services, career expectations and university satisfaction. In was shown that MCI students particularly appreciate the international orientation and recognition of the entrepreneurial school, the entrepreneurial attitude as well as the practice-oriented studies at MCI, which are reflected in excellent relations with employers and a high employment rate of graduates. MCI's Career Services were also rated very highly.

MULTIRANK 2018

MCI has now participated in the European U-Multirank university ranking for the second time. The results for 2018, published a few days ago once again place the business and social science courses of the Entrepreneurial School® at the top. Universum Ranking 2017

The Universum Ranking (Universum Talent Survey 2017) has put MCI at the top of the Austrian academic landscape again. The Entrepreneurial School^® is notably the only academic institution in Austria that has taken first place in two of, altogether, three categories.

MCI was awarded first place in the Strongest Focus on Employability category. This category rates the schools’ services in preparing students for the labor market, which are among the top priorities of the Entrepreneurial School®. The students awarded top marks particularly for MCI’s excellent reputation among potential employers, its high employment rate of graduates, its provision of practically-relevant training and immediately-applicable knowledge, its strong network with the business world, as well as its entrepreneurial approach and way of thinking.
MCI also secured first place in also in the Best Career Service category, which assesses the work of the universities’ career centers. With a score of 8.2 points, which is unique among Austrian universities, whose average score is 6.5 points, MCI has once again been placed at the very top. It has thus even outperformed renowned institutions such as the Vienna University of Economics and Business, or the Graz University of Technology. According to the students, the most important activities organized by the MCI Career Center are the preparatory career and application workshops, the excellent career platform for MCI students, and the annual Recruiting Forum held at MCI, which is considered an effective platform for exchange and communication between potential employers and students.
MCI is particularly pleased with the results and the second place it achieved in the Most Satisfied Students category. This reflects the students’ tendency to recommend their schools to acquaintances and relatives as well as the general level of students’ satisfaction with their universities. In addition, the students were asked if they would opt for the same schools again in hindsight. The students of the Entrepreneurial School® awarded the university 8.2 points, while the Austrian average score was 7.3. With an outstanding score of 8.5 points, as compared to the Austrian average of 7.6, the rate at which students would recommend MCI is similarly high. If current students could start over with their studies, 73 percent would definitely choose to study at MCI again.

CHE UNIVERSITY RANKING 2016/17

Management Center Innsbruck has once more achieved excellent results within the framework of the university comparison test by the International Center for Higher Education Development (CHE). This year, the study programs in economics, industrial engineering, and social work were assessed. The Entrepreneurial School^® has achieved a sensational 89 postions in the top group.

All of the MCI study programs have achieved excellent results. The "Tourism Business Studies" program even received excellent marks exclusively when assessed by students; Management & Law, Management, Communication & IT, Business & Management, Business Administration, and Social work were also awarded with assessments almost exclusively in the top group.

The CHE university ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in the German-speaking world and surveys more than 300 universities and institutions of higher education, 2,700 disciplines and 10,000 study programs.

TRENDENCE GRADUATE BAROMETER 2017

In the Trendence Graduate Barometer the Entrepreneurial School® excels with an impressive overall score of 2.0 on the scale of 1 (“Very satisfied”) to 7 (“Very dissatisfied”). It thus outperforms all other Austrian universities with an average score of 2.3 as well as its own top results (2.1) from the previous year.

The score represents the students’ overall satisfaction with the university and the study programs that are offered. MCI received high rankings particularly for its lecturers and professors, the practical relevance of its study programs, its international orientation, the support it provides in career development, its counseling and services, as well as its attractive location.

The survey used a rating scale from 1 (“Very satisfied”) to 7 (“Very dissatisfied”). Converted into the Austrian grading scale where 1 is “Excellent” and 5 is “Not sufficient”, MCI’s score corresponds to the outstanding grade of 1.4, and the average score of Austrian universities and institutions of higher education corresponds to the still very good grade of 1.6.

Trendence Graduate Barometer 2016

In the 2016 Trendence Graduate Barometer Europe, MCI surpasses with a score of 2.1 the Austrian (2.5) and European (2.9) average ratings. The scale used ranges from 1 = very satisfied to 7 = very dissatisfied. MCI scored particularly high with regard to the following quality criteria: internationality of training and education, commitment and competence of faculty, practical relevance, career opportunities and services, and student activities.

MBA ranking: MCI achieves top rank again

For the third consecutive year Management Center Innsbruck has scored among the top three in the MBA ranking published by Industriemagazin. MCI’s “General Management Executive MBA” has made it to the top three again. The survey conducted by the IMAD opinion research center confirms the reputation of the Entrepreneurial School® as a top institute for postgraduate studies.

According to the survey, MCI boasts growing name recognition rates as well as an above-average referral rate. The poll tested name recognition and image as well as the usefulness of Executive MBA programs, which was assessed by 151 human resource managers and CEOs of leading Austrian companies. Some of the key benefits named by survey participants were the deepening of know-how in familiar and complimentary fields of expertise as well as the individual development of personal networks and skills.

MCI at the top of the CHE College and University Ranking 2015/16

The current College and University Ranking of CHE publishes excellent results for Management Center Innsbruck: With high-quality study programs in technology and natural sciences, MCI has achieved 40 positions among the top German-speaking universities.

The following study programs offered at the Entrepreneurial School® have been distinguished by the renowned CHE Ranking: Biotechnology, Mechatronics, Environmental, Process & Energy Engineering, and Food & Bioresource Technology. MCI students are particularly satisfied with the support they are provided by their university. Also the modern equipment of seminar rooms and laboratories has been evaluated with top grades. Students moreover appreciate the introductory phase of the study programs at MCI, which helps freshmen to find their way in the new academic environment.

The study program in Biotechnology in particular distinguishes itself from similar courses due to its professional relevance, practicality, and opportunities for studies abroad. The study program in Mechatronics received top grades for practicality as well as its library facilities.

Comparing more than 300 colleges and universities, 2.700 divisions, and 10.000 study programs, the CHE College and University Ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in the German-speaking world. Every year, one third of the subjects are reassessed.

Universum Ranking 2015

The MCI the only Austrian university to be placed among the top 3 in all categories in this year’s Universum ranking: first place for Best Career Service, second place for Best Employability, second place for Brand Perception.

The Universum ranking 2015 (Universum Talent Research) has again put the MCI at the top of all Austrian universities; the Entrepreneurial School® is the only university in Austria to be placed among the first 3 in all categories.

This year is the first time the prestigious awards have been made in three categories: In one category, students were asked how satisfied they were with the services provided by the Career Center (Best Career Service Satisfaction Award) and, with 7.9 out of 10 points, the MCI was the clear winner in the whole of Austria, followed by Leoben with 7.0 points. The other categories were employability, i.e. the degree to which students are equipped for the job market (Best Employability Rating Award), and the general level of students’ satisfaction with their university (Best University Brand Perception Award). In both cases the MCI came second. In the Brand Perception category, the MCI had an outstanding score of 8.3 points compared with the Austrian average of 7.3 points.

StudyPortals’ international award confirms students’ high level of satisfaction with the Entrepreneurial School®

For the extremely high level of satisfaction of its international student body, the MCI has been chosen for the Very Good International Student Satisfaction Award 2015, which is made by the global student platform StudyPortals. The award was based on an evaluation of more than 17,000 student reviews. These reviews provide valuable feedback into the universities’ performance from the student point of view. The MCI finished up with an outstanding score of 8+ out of 10.
