MCI executive certificate courses follow a proven concept in terms of teaching and content that is designed to meet the specific needs of working decision-makers. In the normal case, executive certificate courses last one or two semesters, with intensive two- or three-day modules (usually Thursday or Friday to Saturday) integrated in such a way that the new content can be implemented systematically in the following application phase.

MCI executive certificate courses
  • involve practical work in the form of projects to ensure continuous transfer of the contents of the seminar modules to the student’s own professional environment, and feed-back to the course modules from the student’s work experience and problems encountered;
  • involve written exams with specific questions on the contents of each seminar module
  • culminate in a final paper which ideally addresses a question or problem from the student’s own company or working environment and generates specific guidance or a plan of action for the student on completion of the course;
  • are designed to exploit the students’ own experience and professional expertise with all its potential value through a process of a mutual exchange;
  • deliver a continuous flow of critical feedback to students and thus provide long-term support in a process of learning and doing in an adult style of teaching.

The seminar modules are designed to present situations in which the acquired knowledge is applied in the context of specific practical problems. This primarily takes the form of group work and case studies with additional presentations and discussions.
