Systematic acquisition and exploitation of intellectual property rights The systematic acquisition, protection and exploitation of patents, licenses and other sole and exclusive rights are decisive for the success or failure of innovative companies, universities and non-university R&D organizations. The MCI is therefore offering a Compact course that takes an in-depth look at exploitation and protection strategies offering a competitive advantage. For austria wirtschaftsservice gmbh (aws) – Austria’s national business promotion bank – the professional management of patents and licenses is an increasingly important asset for the country’s development-oriented economy and for its universities, and the aws runs two funding programs called tecma and uni:invent for the targeted application of know-how in the business world. This Compact course has been designed on the basis of collaboration between the aws and the MCI to provide specific training to meet this need for the future and provide companies with human resources for successful know-how management.
