The City

Waukesha is located in Wisconsin, in the Upper Midwest region of the United States. As of the 2018 population estimate, Waukesha had a total population of 72,500, and is the largest community in the county. In 2012, Money Magazine ranked Waukesha in the top 100 Best Places to Live. Fun fact: Waukesha is the home of electric guitar pioneer and musician Les Paul.

The University

Carroll University is a private liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian church. Carroll opened in 1846, two years before Wisconsin became a state. The University is Wisconsin's first college. Before July 1, 2008, Carroll University was known as Carroll College. In 2009, Carroll was ranked 175th out of 600 by Forbes on their list of America's Best Colleges.

The school provides housing in seven residence halls and six apartment buildings. In 2016, Carroll University debuted its new science building, the Michael & Mary Jaharis Science Laboratories. In 2018, a second science building called Doug & Nancy Hastad Hall officially opened for classes. Carroll University officially established the School of Business in 2017.
