The City

Dalian, the second largest city in Liaoning Province, is located at the southern tip of Liaoning Peninsula, the west of Yellow sea and east of Bohai Sea. As a coastal city of Northeast China, Dalian is neither bitterly cold in winter nor extremely hot in summer. Dalian is also the shipping, logistics and regional financial center of Northeast Asia. It is known as the "Window of Northeast China", "Pearl of North China"and "City of Romance".
It is home to several major and renowned universities such as Dalian University of Technology.

The University

Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is a national key university directly administrated by the Ministry of Education of China. Founded in 1949, it has formed a multi-disciplinary system that focuses on science and engineering and coordinates the disciplines of economics, management, humanities, law, philosophy, and arts.
Internationalization is one of the important strategic goals of DUT. It has established long-term stable collaborations with more than 300 universities and institutions in over 40 countries and regions.
DUT has gained numerous national and international accreditations. Its business education institutions are accredited by AACSB, CAMEA and EQUIS, one of eight Universities in China.
