International Tourism Policy

On the basis of practical examples, the lecture should provide a feeling for the structural and political connections in the fields of tourism. The students should learn to understand under which basic conditions the leisure economy operates, and how regional as well as the infrastructure politics contribute to the development of destinations. The lecture includes a detailed discussion of the policies and politics of the EU as well as of important alpine destinations (A, CH, Bavaria, South Tirol …).
