Students should get familiar with the development of a Biopharmaceutical Drug especially from the cell culture or fermentation harvest intermediate till to the formulated drug product. Focus of this Bioprocess Engineering lecture part will be primarely the DOWNSTREAM PROCESSING (DSP) with all neighbouring requirements like DSP definitions, target finding, process development, process qualification, analytics and controls, scale-up, process transfer and relevant regulatory documents.
The understanding of the topic will be regularely checked by interactive test questions, group or home work etc.
