    • understand the economic relevance of health and health care and the economic dimension of environmental de-terminants of health.
    • get a framework for analyzing financing of interventions to influence environmental determinants of health.
    • understand the role health in all policies as a framework to address environmental and other determinants of health.
    • to interpret public policies as addressing tradeoffs in health care allocations
    • understand how individuals make decisions about health, and how factors such as governments, climate change, and globalization impact public health
    • understand the basics of cost-benefit analysis and apply them to examples related to preventative care and pub-lic health
    • examine ways behavioral economics can be used to address public health issues
