    (i) space and social space,
    (ii) socio-spatial strategies in local and regional development
    (iii) the art of place-making
    (iv) localization and regionalisation in social work

    The practical implications of understanding and analysing social space for the development of social work strategies will be explored, complemented by local and international examples of practice.

    Post-colonial discourse, South Africa and Western Europe: comparative reflections on social responses to socio-spatial change

    Students will engage in practical project work to extend their understanding of and develop skills in social space analysis and the construction of strategic intervention at local and regional levels. They will then present their projects.
