Daniel Krauss, Co-Founder & CIO, Flix SE
Daniel Krauss was born in Neheim-Hüsten in 1983 and is one of the three founders of Flix, a dynamic mobility company that is redefining travel for millions of people in Europe and around the world. As Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief HR Officer (CHRO), he is responsible for technology and human resources. He is also an investor and advisory board member in various companies, lectures regularly at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, and is a valued advisor to MCI | The Entrepreneurial University®, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Hamburg. He is also an active partner in STARTUP TEENS, Germany's largest NGO for entrepreneurial education, as well as a co-partner and trustee of CODE University.Daniel Krauss studied economics, business informatics, and organizational and human resources development in Hagen, Ansbach, and Nuremberg. Until founding Flixbus, Daniel Krauss worked in the IT sector, with management positions at the Marquardt Group and Microsoft, among others.
Flix has set itself the goal of transforming long-distance public transport with sustainable and affordable long-distance bus and rail travel and is represented in more than 40 countries on four continents. Flix's brand portfolio includes FlixBus, FlixTrain, Kamil Koç, and Greyhound Lines. Since its founding in 2013, Flix has quickly achieved market-leading positions in long-distance bus travel in Europe, North America, and Turkey with its asset-light business model and innovative technology platform, and has continued to expand rapidly into South America and India. Driven by growing awareness of sustainable travel, Flix aims to achieve net-zero operations in Europe by 2040 and worldwide by 2050.
