It has approx. 240,000 inhabitants. Granada is well-known within Spain due to the prestigious University of Granada and, nowadays, vibrant night-life. It has campuses in the Spanish cities of Granada, Ceuta and Melilla. Every year, over 2,000 European students attend the university through the LLP/ERASMUS program, making it the program's most popular destination. The UGR also participates in the EU's Erasmus Mundus Program.
