The City

Paris is the capital of France and with 2.2 million inhabitants in the city area and 12.2 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area one of the biggest cities in the Western World.
Paris has been a cultural center for centuries. It is still one of the most visited cities of the world. Paris is also the biggest educational center of Europe.

The University

AgroParisTech, officially named Paris Institute of Technology for Life, Food and Environmental Sciences is a French higher education institution and was founded in 2007 by the merger of three life sciences grandes écoles.
AgroParisTech consists of 8 campuses spread all over France offering one engineering program, various master's degrees, Ph.D. and certificate programs in the following fields: Agronomy, Forestry, Water and Environmental Science and Technology, Life Science and Health, Science and Engineering for Food and Bioproducts, Social science, Economics and Management as well as Mathematics, Informatics and Physics.
