Through your interactive participation in the seminar, you will:

• Recognise that your sense of "normality" triggers expectations in you when you communicate with others;
• Increase your capacity to perceive things beyond the surface and better understand the other party’s perspective;
• Identify the unconscious mechanisms (in yourself and others) that lead to dysfunctional communication and generate misunderstandings, distrust, or conflicts;
• Discover how listening per se is crucial for a fruitful communication. You will learn how to listen with more awareness of the other for constructive dialogues enabling mutual trust, respect, and understanding;
• Develop your self-awareness and better acknowledge your needs and feelings, as well as those of your interlocutors, for a congruent and genuine communication: (professional) relationships become entangled when emotions and feelings are being ignored;
• Give and take constructive feedback;
• Increase your empathetic qualities, empathy being the most important leadership skill according to research.

• Nonviolent Communication (Marshall Rosenberg) – Theory and practice
