As a directly elected representative, he represents the constituency of Backnang-Schwäbisch Gmünd since 1998 in Berlin. In his capacity as Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Transport and Digital Infrastructure, he has made a major contribution to the expansion of transport infrastructure and digitization in Germany.
