As part of the MCI Alumni & Friends Distinguished Guest Lecture, the Entrepreneurial School® was delighted to welcome Josef Aschbacher, Director Earth Observation Programmes at the European Space Agency.

The European Space Agency is an international organization with 22 Member States and it is Europe’s gateway to space. Its mission is to shape the development of Europe’s space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe and the world.


Josef Aschbacher began his career at ESA in 1990. He was born in Austria, studied at the University of Innsbruck, graduating with a Master’s and a Doctoral Degree in Natural Sciences. On July 2016 he took up duty as Director of Earth Observation Programs.
