As part of the MCI Alumni & Friends Distinguished Guest Lectures, the Entrepreneurial School® had the honor to welcome Elisabetta Castiglioni, CEO of A1 Digital International GmbH in Vienna.

Dr. Elisabetta Castiglioni brings many years of leadership experience from various international senior management positions in the technology, media and telecommunications industries. She most recently served as CEO of Siemens Global Media Business, part of the Siemens IT Solution and Services division. Under her leadership, a globally successful business unit with leading media and entertainment companies as customers was created.

Prior to that, Castiglioni held the position of Executive Vice President Europe of the Siemens Cordless Business Unit. At Verizon Business (formerly MCI International), she was EMEA Product Marketing Director, launched innovative data solutions for the business market, and was responsible for network expansion projects in Europe and Asia Pacific.

Born in Italy, she studied business administration and earned her doctorate summa cum laude at the Technical University of Munich and her business administration degree at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. After holding positions in Germany and Great Britain, Castiglioni was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Telekom Austria Group in Austria from 2013 to 2016. Elisabetta Castiglioni has been a member of the Supervisory Board of A1 Telekom Austria AG since August 2017. She is also a member of the Supervisory Board of LEONI AG and a member of the Board of Directors of Euskaltel S.A.
