When I look back at my time at MCI...

the part-time program enabled me to translate theoretical concepts directly into practice – on Fridays in the lecture hall and on Mondays in everyday corporate life. This allowed me to better contextualize existing knowledge, further develop it in a targeted way, and apply it with confidence. In retrospect, I now approach professional challenges in a more structured and analytical manner.

How did your studies at MCI prepare you for your current job?

Topics such as project and program management, the preparation of financial and strategic decision-making bases, as well as organizational and leadership issues, now form a core foundation of my work in company-wide transformation and strategy initiatives. The real challenge rarely lies in the conceptual design of solutions, but in their implementation – which ultimately depends on the human factor. This translation of concepts, numbers, and presentations into effective practice represents a key added value of the program for me.

What would you tell someone who is considering studying at MCI?

MCI offers a learning environment strongly shaped by exchange. Dialogue with fellow students from different industries, functions, and experience backgrounds opens up perspectives that are often missing in one’s own professional context. This exchange on equal footing is a key advantage of the program. Innsbruck as a place of study provides ideal conditions to focus on academic work despite professional demands, while also offering balance to everyday working life.

A part-time program requires perseverance and conscious prioritization. Those willing to embrace this additional challenge, even during intensive phases, will benefit both professionally and personally from studying at MCI.

What is your motto?

Not every task brings joy, but we can choose to do them with joy.
