When I look back at my time at MCI...

I think back to an incredibly enriching time full of exciting challenges, inspiring projects and a great community. I was particularly impressed by the close support I received from the lecturers - they always had an open ear for questions, suggestions, and criticism. This made the course a valuable experience, not only professionally but also personally. The cooperation within our cohort was also exceptional: we supported each other, learned from each other and worked as a team, which enriched our day-to-day studies enormously.

How did your studies at MCI prepare you for your current job?

Thanks to the practical training and interdisciplinary approach at MCI, I was able to gain valuable insights into the industry. The mix of technical content, digitalization, and sustainability is exactly what I need in my day-to-day work today. I found it particularly valuable that our professors and lecturers not only imparted knowledge, but also motivated us to question things critically and contribute our own ideas. This openness to suggestions for improvement showed me how important it is to constantly think ahead and innovate. In my current job as a systems engineer at HELLA, I benefit from this experience every day. Thecombination of automation, smart technologies and sustainable solutions, which already played a major role during my studies, is now a central part of my work. The development and optimization of intelligent sun shading systems requires a deep understanding of building automation, energy management and sensor technology - all of which I was able to learn during my studies and now apply in practice.

What would you tell someone who is considering studying at MCI?

If you're thinking about starting to study, my advice is: go for it! A degree program not only broadens your professional horizons, but also your personal ones. At MCI, you have the opportunity to build a strong network - with fellow students, professors and industry contacts that you can draw on for the rest of your life. The dual aspect of the degree program in particular makes it unique and gives you the best prerequisites for starting your career and beyond.

What is your motto?

Success means recognizing and courageously seizing opportunities.
