When I look back at my time at MCI...

“… I remember one of the most intense periods in my life. It gave me the opportunity to form friendships which I have preserved over the past ten years and continue to maintain also in my current professional environment. I like to think back to the rectors, heads of studies, and professors, with whom I was able to develop a friendly and professional relationship which has lasted to this day. Fortunately, the regularly held panel sessions and events at MCI will allow me to keep these valued relationships going, also in the future.”

How did your studies prepare you for your current job?

“With practically relevant lectures and interesting internships the degree course in Environmental and Process Engineering as well as my specialization in Biotechnology provided me with the necessary foundation for my later doctorate in Biochemistry and Biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich and the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry. The Technical University of Munich fully recognized my MCI degree, and consequently did not require me to take any additional classes or exams. Also my semester abroad, which I spent in Canada during my time as a Bachelor student at MCI, proved valuable by teaching me the independence on which I built my later career. In my current position at Sandoz I constantly have to put my scientific skills to the test and apply my knowledge of bioprocess engineering, risk analysis, and quality management, which I acquired at MCI. Management Center Innsbruck therefore has accompanied me throughout my professional life, and continues to be present every day.”
