Course contents
- Differential equations:
Technical modeling and setting up of 1st and 2nd order difference and differential equations, solution methods such as separation of variables, 1st and 2nd order linear differential equations.
- Descriptive statistics:
Basic concepts, mean, dispersion, median, range, frequency distributions.
- Probability theory and distribution functions:
Fundamentals of probability, random variables, distribution functions of discrete and continuous random variables, hypergeometric distribution, binomial distribution, sampling systems, Poisson distribution, normal distribution.
- Applied Statistics:
Parameter estimation, statistical process control
