Engineering Mechanics I

Course contents
Statics:

- Basic concepts (rigid body, force, cutting principle, reaction forces, equilibrium)
- Central level system of forces (net force, equilibrant force, storage conditions)
- General level system of forces (net force, momentum, torque, dislocation momentum, bonds, degree of freedom and determinacy of a kinematically rigid panel)
- Level supporting structures and frameworks (storage of kinematically rigid panels, distributed loads)
- Stress resultants in level beams and carrier current systems of transmission
- Centre of gravity (centre of mass, centre of volume, centre of area, centre of line)
- Adhesive force and dynamic friction (cord adhesion and friction)
