Project Biotechnology 1

Course contents

The project goal is the planning of a genetic engineering project which should result in the development of specific production cells:
- Sequence data determination from international sequence databases (NCBI)
- Sequence analysis of DNA, RNA and protein molecules using professional sequence analysis software (e.g.: Benchling), management of documentation of constructs
- Development of cloning strategies to create a heterologous expression vector
- Detection of a transgene using Southern Blot and PCR
- Understanding of project planning, implementation and documentation
