Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • Students acquire knowledge of the most important concepts, theories, models and instruments in the areas of investment appraisal, investment decisions as well as financing of companies of different sizes with a special focus on local start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises. Students will be able to assess the impact of investment decisions and link them to risks. Students will be able to name types of financing and locate possible exit strategies. The students are familiar with the various company valuation concepts and can use suitable start-up valuation tools for planning, control and analysis in order to prepare operational as well as tactical decision-making bases.
