Learning outcomes of the course unit
  • Students will gain knowledge of the key concepts, theories, models and tools of operational due diligence before and after merger or acquisition. Students will be able to determine and understand the impact of integration decisions in the IT landscape. Students will be able to interpret post-merger integration and explain use cases. Students are familiar with the various due diligence concepts, in particular IT due diligence, and are able to use appropriate tools for planning, control and analysis in order to become competent contacts for integration issues in today's companies.

  • The course comprises an interactive mix of lectures, discussions and individual and group work.
Assessment methods and criteria
  • To monitor the students’ learning this course will provide ongoing assignments as a basis for feedback and grading (formative assessment) and/or will evaluate the students learning at the end of the course or an instructional unit via exams, final project reports, essays or seminar papers (summative assessment).
