Course contents
The course starts off with a first insight on the entrepreneurial perspective. Therefore, historical developments in the entrepreneurial area are discussed and the entrepreneurial idea defined. On this basis, entrepreneurial actions and their impacts on topics as business plan, structure, key assets, funding, branding, HR and sales tactics are analyzed. Selected areas of entrepreneurial basics are presented and discussed as the owner manager dominance, effects of uncertainty, innovations and their impact, required skillset and management functions related to entrepreneurial thinking, evaluation of entrepreneurial opportunities and evaluation of start ups.

To provide a better understanding, the Entrecomp framework of the European Union is applied and serves as foundation to develop an individual entrepreneurial skillset. Entrepreneurial topics are discussed divided into the areas of ideas & opportunities, resources and bringing into action. Main target of this course is the identification of personal entrepreneurial strength and areas of improvement. The lecture "Entrepreneurship" is focused on the practical experiences of entrepreneurial behavior. Therefore, students are accompanied in the development of own business ideas along one self-chosen mega trend. Student groups can assess and evaluate other group results and compare own achievements to other students group results. At the end, a best practice summary highlights the do's and don'ts in entrepreneurial thinking.
