Watch & get a feel for MCI's international outreach!
MCI offers its students the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of its numerous partner universities, to acquire joint or double degrees and/or carry out an internship in an international organization.
With its 35,000 students, the university, conference and Olympic city of Innsbruck is one of the most popular university locations in Europe, with a rich tradition of learning, academic excellence and a vibrant student scene in terms of culture and living facilities, discourse and encounter.
In this video our Alumna Lena introduces you to the infrastructure of the Entrepreneurial School®. From seminar rooms to laboratories and libraries, you can get all the insights and information about the campus of the MCI.
Internationalization forms an integral part of MCI and is reflected in our lecturer and student composition, our study programs, and in our research projects. As one of the leading universities in Austria, MCI hosts 3,400students from 55 nations worldwide.
We value internationalization and create a range of global activities like semester abroad, double degree options, Erasmus internship, international semester, short programs, etc. for our students – at home and abroad to develop their international experience.
The ERASMUS+ Program is the mobility program for students, academic as well as non-academic staff of the European Commission, based on the “Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020 (ECHE)” of participation institutions. MCI Management Center Innsbruck takes part in the ERASMUS+ program – our students and staff can therefore benefit of the activities of this European network.
Erasmus+ is the new EU program for Education, Training, Youth and Sport for 2014-2020. In order to enable students to participate in the Erasmus+ program, MCI Management Center Innsbruck applied for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and received it in the spring of 2014. Scholarships are available in the framework of Erasmus+ for students wishing to enjoy the experience of a semester or internship abroad as an integral part of their studies.
Erasmus+ is a simplified collective replacement for existing programs such as Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink etc. Jean Monnet Chairs are one part of Erasmus+; currently MCI professor Dr. Markus Frischhut holds the Jean Monnet chair on European integration & Ethics: EuTHICS - European Integration & Ethics.

MCI International Relations Office participates in the WILLIAM initiative, a three-year capacity-builiding project funded by the European Commission to advance the internationalization processes at Israeli universities. MCI will support Israeli universities in developing internationalization strategies and share its best practices. Several Israeli project partners including The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Ben Gurion University of the Negev and others, paid MCI a site visit in May 2019 to gain first-hand information on MCI's internationalization processes.
