The COVID crisis has put him in the spotlight bu it has been around since 2014: the eCampus at MCI. It was originally developed to provide an offer for part-time students for who face-to-face attendance on campus is not an option. Due to COVID-related suspension of on campus classes, more than 100 classes now take place daily on the eCampus of the Entrepreneurial School®.

Almost the entire MCI study program is temporarily run online, in so-called synchronous and asynchronous classes. Attendance is compulsory for synchronous online courses. Students work directly with their lecturer, similar to a classroom-based course. In asynchronous modules, students receive interactive "study packs" which have to be completed within a certain time.

The changeover was made possible in such a short time because the comprehensive know-how in the field of online & mobile learning could be transferred to the entire range of programs. Prior to COVID-19, almost one third of all study programs had been carried out online or mobile, with enthusiastic feedback from the students.

However, the MCI continues to attach great importance to face-to-face attendance classes. In the future, the focus will therefore increasingly be on intelligent combinations of on-campus and mobile courses.
