protection measures, MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® is joining the Climate Alliance Tyrol (Klimabündnis Tirol). Based on a multi-stage climate check, which included analyzing the company's status quo and previous climate protection measures, the MCI team, led by Alexander Dumfort, Tommy Mayr and Regina Obexer, worked together with “Klimabündnis Tirol” to draw up a comprehensive roadmap for the next five years to contribute to a more sustainable world.

The team has developed a detailed set of measures, including promoting green mobility among staff and students, raising awareness through targeted communication in teaching, adapting the infrastructure and increasing the number of green events at MCI. The goals are continuously being developed: "We want to involve the entire MCI team in the process, as all of us bring site-specific input to the table. With regular workshops, we can not only expand existing measures but also incorporate new ideas," explains Alexander Dumfort, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environmental, Process and Energy Engineering at MCI.

By joining the Climate Alliance, MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® has joined a strong network: In addition to more than 1,000 Climate Alliance communities, around 1,300 companies throughout Austria have also committed themselves to the Climate Alliance idea, with MCI being the first institution of higher education in Tyrol to join the Alliance. MCI Rector Andreas Altmann is delighted: "Environmental and climate protection are important to us. We take these matters seriously and invest actively in them. Joining the Climate Alliance encourages us further to implement concrete measures ambitiously and to contribute to the sustainable development of our fields of impact."
