Good news: MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® has just been awarded “4 Palmes of Excellence” in the global Eduniversal Ranking 2025.
This places MCI among the “Top Business Schools with significant international influence”. The prestigious recognition was presented at the Eduniversal World Convention in Indore, India, which brings together decision-makers from leading higher education institutions around the globe.
The international Eduniversal Ranking is based on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, as well as the assessment of rectors and deans of top business schools across all continents. Key evaluation factors include reputation, internationalization, global networking, recognized accreditations, attractiveness, and career prospects for students.
Brigitte Auer, Head of Quality Management at MCI, expressed her delight: “Receiving the ‘4 Palmes of Excellence’ marks another milestone in the development of our university and confirms the dedicated work and continuous efforts of our staff and partners, who significantly contribute to MCI’s impressive track record.”
“This award is a powerful testimony to our longstanding commitment to academic excellence. It not only affirms MCI’s international visibility but also enhances the reputation of Innsbruck, Tyrol, and Austria as an attractive hub for education, research, innovation, and business far beyond the region,” says MCI Rektor Andreas Altmann.
Susanne Lichtmannegger, Associate Dean of International Relations at MCI, accepted the award on behalf of MCI: “For our 3,600 students from 72 nations, this recognition sends a strong signal: Studying at MCI means access to global opportunities, top academic standards, and a worldwide network that now includes over 300 partner universities. Our students, and ultimately also their employers, benefit greatly from this expertise and connectedness.”
Tyrol’s Governor Anton Mattle also extended his congratulations on the impressive ranking: “Tyrol’s higher education institutions stand for excellence, knowledge transfer, and empowering students in their individual talents. With the award of ‘4 Palmes of Excellence’, MCI once again proves that top-tier academic quality is firmly rooted in Tyrol. I sincerely congratulate the MCI leadership, the academic community, and the students – they embody the spirit of a university: curiosity, discovery, and the dissemination of knowledge.”
Oswald Wolkenstein, Chairman of the MCI Supervisory Board, added: “Despite limited infrastructure, the MCI team continues to move forward with vision and determination. As an entrepreneurial university, MCI serves as an international engine for research, education, and innovation – a flagship institution that elevates Tyrol’s standing in the world. My heartfelt congratulations!”
