Date 2026-05-19

Highest student satisfaction in organization, academic support, and practical relevance | 87 ratings in the top group

MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® achieved outstanding results in the latest CHE University Ranking 2026. In the student survey, the participating bachelor’s degree programs at MCI received consistently excellent ratings, once again underlining the high quality of teaching and academic experience at the Entrepreneurial School®. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent overall outcome: 87 out of 92 individual ratings were placed in the top group (3.8 to 5 stars).

Around 35,000 students from 265 universities and universities of applied sciences evaluated their study conditions as part of this year’s ranking. The 2026 edition focused on degree programs in law, business, and social sciences. The following MCI bachelor’s programs participated in the ranking:

  • Business Administration Online
  • Management, Communication & IT
  • Management & Law
  • Social, Health & Public Management
  • Social Work
  • Entrepreneurship, Tourism & Leisure Business
  • Business & Management
  • Industrial Engineering & Management

The highest ratings were achieved in the areas of study organization, support provided by lecturers, and professional and practical relevance. Students also awarded excellent scores for academic support services, course offerings, and digital teaching elements. Limited space capacities regarding learning, working, and social spaces, however, were viewed more critically.

In addition, facts relating to studies and research were assessed, including international orientation, cooperative doctoral programs, and graduation within the standard period of study. In these categories, MCI achieved 24 ratings in the top group.

Statements:

Cornelia Hagele, Tyrolean Provincial Minister for Education, Science, Research, Health, and Care: “MCI’s outstanding result in the CHE University Ranking 2026 is a strong confirmation of Tyrol as a leading location for education and research. Through its entrepreneurial orientation, international network, and strong practical focus, MCI makes an important contribution to educating highly qualified professionals and future leaders, benefiting students, business, and society far beyond Tyrol.”

MCI Rector Andreas Altmann: “87 top ratings out of 92 evaluated indicators send an exceptionally strong signal. These results confirm our ambition to be among Europe’s leading universities, combining academic excellence, an international perspective, and a clear focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and societal impact.”

Brigitte Auer, Head of Quality Management at MCI: “The results of the CHE University Ranking 2026 confirm MCI’s consistent commitment to quality and demonstrate how important the close connection between academic excellence, personal support, and practical education is for both student success and student satisfaction. We are particularly pleased that top ratings were achieved across a wide range of study programs.”

Oswald Wolkenstein, MCI Chairman of the MCI Supervisory Board: “MCI’s renewed top results are impressive and demonstrate its exceptional quality. At the same time, it is clear that maintaining excellence in teaching, research, and growth requires the appropriate infrastructure and regulatory framework. Modern lecture halls, learning, project, and startup spaces, as well as the right to award doctoral degrees, are essential prerequisites for the continued development of MCI.”
