In 2026, Raiffeisen-Landesbank Tirol AG once again supports selected MCI students in realizing their international study ambitions through the “Raiffeisen Award for Students”, The award, valued at EUR 1,000 per recipient, recognizes outstanding academic performance and forward-looking ambitions.

Erol Günen | Bachelor Biotechnology & Food Engineering
Erol Günen will complete his semester abroad at the Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec) in New Zealand. He was particularly attracted by the institution’s practice-oriented approach and its strong integration of food technology, biotechnology, and environmental engineering. He is especially interested in the opportunity to work on real-world industrial challenges and to develop innovative solutions addressing sustainability and technological issues.
In the long term, Erol Günen aims to pursue a career at the intersection of environmental technology and medical biotechnology, contributing to the solution of global challenges in sustainability and healthcare.
Jakob Waldhart | Master Management, Communication & IT
Jakob Waldhart will spend his semester abroad at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) in the United States. His decision was driven by the university’s specialized curriculum in information technology and its strong practical orientation. As a self-employed software developer, he intends to further strengthen the skills required to develop and scale innovative software solutions.
Looking ahead, Jakob Waldhart aims to establish his own IT company in Tyrol. Through his platform designed to optimize the utilization of corporate vehicle fleets, he seeks to contribute to sustainable mobility while developing innovative digital solutions with international growth potential.
