MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® is expanding its dual study offerings. Beginning in September 2026, students enrolled in the Bachelor's program in Smart Building Technologies will be able to complete the practical phase of their studies with Hilti Austria.
Through this new partnership, MCI welcomes Hilti Austria as an internationally operating company that provides the construction and energy industries with industry-leading products, system solutions, and services.
MCI's dual study model combines academic education with practical work experience throughout the entire program. Students alternate between study periods at MCI and hands-on training with their corporate partner, enabling them to apply their knowledge in real-world settings while building a strong foundation for their future careers.
The Bachelor's program in Smart Building Technologies equips students with comprehensive expertise in automation and information technology, building automation, and heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sanitary engineering. The curriculum focuses on developing innovative solutions for increasingly digitalized and sustainable buildings. In addition to technical knowledge, students develop essential business and interpersonal skills that prepare them for challenging professional careers in a rapidly evolving industry.
"By partnering with Hilti Austria, MCI is expanding its network with another internationally recognized company that offers students valuable practical experience and outstanding career development opportunities. We are delighted to launch this partnership and further strengthen the close connection between higher education and industry," says Werner Stadlmayr, Head of Department and Program Director of Smart Building Technologies at MCI.
Andreas Hölbling, Regional Sales Manager at Hilti Austria, also sees the partnership as an important investment in the next generation of professionals. "The demand for highly qualified specialists in building technologies continues to grow. This partnership allows us to involve students in innovative projects at an early stage and support their professional development in a targeted way," he says.
Together, MCI and Hilti Austria are strengthening the connection between academic learning and professional practice while creating attractive career opportunities in one of the industry's most future-oriented fields. Initially, one dual study position at Hilti Austria will be available for students starting the program in September 2026. Applications are now open through MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®.
