MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® expands its international network with the University of Science and Technology of China and Fudan University | Both ranked among China's Top 10 universities

MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® is further strengthening its international presence in China by expanding its global network with two additional leading institutions: Fudan University and the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Both universities are members of the prestigious C9 League, widely regarded as China's equivalent of the Ivy League. The new partnerships provide MCI students with expanded study abroad opportunities, enhanced international knowledge exchange, and valuable firsthand insights into China's culture, economy, and innovation landscape.

University of Science and Technology of China

Often referred to as "the cradle of science in China," the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) was founded in 1958 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) at the initiative of the Chinese government to strengthen the country's competitiveness in science and technology. In 1970, the university relocated to its current campus in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province.

Beginning in fall 2027, students from several MCI degree programs will have the opportunity to complete a study abroad semester or academic year at one of China's most distinguished universities. In addition, MCI Rector and Executive Director Andreas Altmann has been appointed to the International Advisory Board of USTC.

Fudan University

Located in Shanghai, Fudan University is among China's oldest and most selective universities. Founded in 1905, it is home to approximately 45,000 students across four campuses.

Starting in 2027, degree programs within MCI's Department Tourism & Leisure Business will launch their academic collaboration with Fudan University. Students from both institutions will have the opportunity to study at their respective partner university as part of the exchange program.

Wei Manske-Wang, Head of the China Center at MCI: "Through our collaboration with these two distinguished universities of China's C9 League, we are creating exceptional opportunities for our faculty and students to benefit from world-class expertise, engage in global academic networks, and gain firsthand insights into one of the world's most dynamic technology ecosystems."

Susanne Lichtmannegger, Associate Dean International Relations at MCI: "These new partnership agreements with two of China's leading universities further demonstrate MCI's international outlook, academic quality, and strong reputation. Our collaboration with USTC and Fudan University gives our students the invaluable opportunity to experience China firsthand while further strengthening MCI's academic excellence and international visibility."
