The central event of the “Social Work Platform” is an annual network meeting at which organizations from various areas of Social Work practice in Tyrol come together to take a joint look at current and future challenges in Social Work and to jointly develop strategies to overcome them. The topics initiated at the network meeting are worked on and further developed in regular meetings of a core group - consisting of representatives of the Department of Social Work and representatives of Social Work organizations.

The aim is to promote sustainable networking and exchange between the Department of Social Work and Social Work practice in order to exploit joint potential. The group promotes the connection between science and practice and forms a place where innovative ideas, practice-relevant research approaches and joint projects can be developed. The role of the group is to act as a catalyst for the ongoing development of Social Work, to increase visibility and to promote a common, well-founded attitude of Social Work in society.
