Freshers Start Their Bachelor’s Program in Social Work

Date 2025-09-17

We are delighted to welcome 60 first-year students to the Bachelor's program in Social Work at MCI

For many, the start of the fall semester marks the beginning of an exciting journey into a diverse professional field that combines social responsibility and scientific expertise.

Right at the start of the semester, the focus is on getting to know each other and attending the first lectures. Students gain a sound insight into the theoretical foundations of Social Work as well as important related disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and law. At the same time, the first practice-oriented elements prepare them for the close connection to the professional world.

The program offers a balanced combination of theory and practice, enables students to engage with current social challenges, and opens up a wide range of career prospects – from working with families, children, and young people to topics such as migration, health, social policy, and much more.

The entire team at the Department of Social Work warmly welcomes all first-semester students and wishes them a successful start to their studies, full of inspiration, joy, and exciting experiences!
