BOYS’ DAY 2025 at MCI

Date 2025-11-13

Boys explore social professions at MCI

At this year's Boys' Day, the MCI Departments of Social Work and Nonprofit, Social & Health Care Management once again offered young men between the ages of 12 and 18 an exciting insight into social and socio-educational professions – traditionally a field dominated by women.

Under the motto of breaking down stereotypes and opening up new perspectives, they showed participants how varied and enriching social professions can be.

Head of Department Belachew Gebrewold (Social Work) and Head of Studies Lukas Kerschbaumer (Social, Health & Public Management) , warmly welcomed the young people. They presented the study opportunities in the social sector at MCI and gave an overview of the various options in these professional fields.

The visitors were accompanied throughout the morning by graduates and staff from the social studies programs. In interactive workshops and at various stations, the young people gained practical insights and learned about situations from real professional fields. The aim was to show them that a career in social professions is not only interesting, but also forward-looking and fulfilling – especially for young men.
