World Social Work Day 2026

Date 2026-03-17

Department of Social Work celebrates WSWD and invites you to a Get-Together in Innsbruck

Today is World Social Work Day (WSWD), and this year’s theme is: “Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society.” In Austria, WSWD 2026 is guided by the motto: “Together for Hope and Connectedness: Harambee! Let’s Pull Together: For a Professional Act for Social Work!” This places the eagerly anticipated Professional Act for Social Work at the center of attention.

Harambee stands for joining forces, sharing experiences, and fostering confidence – exactly what we are creating space for: encounters, impulses, and exchange. Therefore, the Austrian Association of Social Work (obds) and the MCI Department of Social Work invite you to a joint Get-Together in Innsbruck. Participation in the Get-Together is free of charge. Registration is requested.
