Schools visiting the center of robotics at MCI IV

Date 2020-01-21

The center of robotics, production and automation invites children and teens to experience digitization firsthand.

Together with the Industriellenvereinigung Tirol (Federation of Tyrolian Industries), the MCI runs a center for robotics, production and automation at MCI IV, the campus of technology and life sciences. The center specializes in supporting businesses and industrial companies by implementing technological innovations as well as optimizing their production facilities.

However, the center does even more than thatl: in cooperation with klasse!forschung - a network of research institutions, businesses and schools - the MCI offers workshops that introduce children and teenagers to industrial engineering. During these workshops, students can try out latest hard and software to get an insight in digitization and robotics - an approach to help tackle the current shortage of skilled workers in this field.
