Review: Graduation Ceremony 2024

Date 2024-11-25

Mechatronics graduates received their degree cetificates at festive graduation ceremony

The MCI graduation ceremony marks the official completion of an MCI degree program in the presence of family, friends, and fellow students. This includes the presentation of the graduates, the taking of the vow, and the awarding of the academic degree.

It is not only a great pleasure for the students' families, but also for the department's staff to attend this special ceremony every year.

This year, Marco Astner, BSc, MSc, graduate of the master's degree program in Mechatronics – Smart Technologies, took the vows on behalf of all graduates of the degree programs and then addressed a few words to the almost 1,000 guests at the Dogana in Innsbruck.

The number of MCI Mechatronics graduates has increased considerably every year since the program was founded in 2008. In addition to the master's program in Mechatronics – Smart Technologies, the department has been offering a new part-time master's program focused on automation, robotics, and AI since October 2024. Starting in fall 2025, the department will also introduce a completely revised bachelor's program that allows students to specialize in automation, robotics, and AI from the outset, alongside traditional engineering disciplines such as mechanical and electrical engineering.
