Lions Club Tirol visits the Department of Mechatronics

Date 2025-04-28

The Department of Mechatronics at the MCI recently welcomed the Lions Club Tirol to a special new member meeting.

The event offered the new Lions members from all over Tyrol and their partners and sponsors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of research, technology and innovation for half a day.

Head of Department Dr. Phillip Kronthaler introduced the department's diverse fields of research and presented current projects in the areas of power electronics, structural dynamics and robotics. The guests showed great interest in the pioneering developments that are being driven forward in close cooperation with industrial partners.

Lions Clubs International is one of the largest charitable organizations in the world. Under the motto “We Serve”, over 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries are committed to social projects, humanitarian aid and international understanding. In Tyrol, 26 Lions Clubs work independently and with a regional focus - always with the aim of helping where support is most urgently needed.

The visit to MCI was part of a varied program that included informative impulses as well as culinary highlights and a warm welcome within the Lions community. Cabinet members provided insight into the values and expectations of the Lions and made the day an inspiring experience for all involved.
