Pure enthusiasm for technology, innovative power, and a full campus: TECHNIK LIVE 2025 at MCI Campus Lienz was a complete success and impressively demonstrated how much potential there is in the next generation of engineers in East Tyrol and Upper Carinthia.
The focus was on the final projects of the HTL students - including an “intelligent warning triangle”, a “motor test bench for shading motors”, and sustainable projects such as “drinking straws made of straw” or a “self-sufficient LoRaWan gateway”. The projects not only demonstrated technical expertise, but also creativity, social relevance, and strong regional networking.
One highlight was the keynote speech by Phillip Kronthaler, Head of the Mechatronics program at MCI, who made the connection between teaching, practice, and enthusiasm for technology tangible with his interactive presentation “The floating ball – hands-on mechatronics”. Current MCI research projects were also presented - including a cooperation project with iDM on industrial image processing, presented by Benjamin Massow (MCI) and Arik Gander (iDM).
TECHNIK LIVE demonstrated once again that a strong technical education region is being created at the MCI Campus Lienz in close cooperation with schools and companies.
