The Campus Tirol Motorsport Team (CTM) looks back on an exceptionally successful 2025 racing season

Four competitions in four countries, numerous top rankings, and a historic second place in the overall standings at Formula Student Alpe Adria: with their electric race car NIVIS, the approximately 30 team members demonstrated not only technical expertise but also impressive teamwork, strategic thinking, and perseverance in one of Europe's most prestigious competitions for young engineers.

The season began with a bang: in the first race of the season, Formula Student Switzerland, CTM took first place in the skid pad with full points and second place in the engineering design evaluation – a first in the team's history.

Just a few days later, the team headed to Spielberg for its home race, Formula Student Austria. Here, too, the team impressed with consistently strong performances – particularly in the cost evaluation, where the team took third place and qualified for the final. As a special highlight, CTM was also awarded the Audi Special Award.

After a short break, the team moved on to Formula Student Czech Republic, where NIVIS excelled with first place in the acceleration discipline and secured sixth place overall in the rankings.

The crowning glory of the season was the appearance at Formula Student Alpe Adria in Croatia. Here, the team delivered its strongest performance of the year:

  • 1st place in Engineering Design with full points (150/150)

  • 1st place in Skidpad

  • Four times 2nd place in Acceleration, Autocross, Endurance, and Efficiency

  • 2nd place overall – and thus the first podium finish in CTM's history

These results not only mark the team's most successful season, but also underline the high level of technical maturity, innovative strength, and implementation skills of the students involved.

Behind this success lie countless hours in the workshop, simulations, calculations, design reviews, and tests. The Campus Tirol Motorsport Team brings together students from a wide range of disciplines – engineering, business, and organization – in a project that spans the spectrum from research and product development to the racetrack.
