The European Health Forum Gastein is one of the leading platforms for dialogue on health policy. At the end of September, this year’s forum took place in Bad Hofgastein, where a group of MCI master's students used the opportunity to take part.
Under the theme “Rethinking Solidarity in Health – Healing Europe’s Fractured Social Contract” leaders from across Europe came together to discuss the most pressing issues at the intersection of policy, health, and society:
Global Health Security & pandemic preparedness
Harnessing AI for health & competitiveness
Climate change and health
Advancing the European Health Union
Preventing NCDs – with new ideas on EU initiatives, food procurement, regulation and taxation
Students of our MCI master's programs International Health & Social Management and the European Master in Health Economics & Management had the unique opportunity to participate in the European Health Forum Gastein 2025. Taking part offered a great opportunity for students to experience current developments in European health policy firsthand and to gain valuable insights into high-level political discourse.
For students, attending dialogues like the EHFG is far more than an academic experience – it is an opportunity to connect their studies to cutting-edge European health policy debates, connect with global experts, and gain insights into current policy challenges. We are proud to see students actively engaging in shaping the future of health in Europe.
