The Joint Master’s Degree in European Health Economics and Management (Eu-HEM) is offered by the four partner universities, University of Bologna, MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®, Erasmus University Rotterdam and University of Oslo. The program addresses some of the most pressing global challenges in healthcare. Graduates develop skills and expertise needed to analyse complex challenges in healthcare systems and develop solutions from both an economic and policy perspective.
The Eu-HEM Welcome Days in early September provided the perfect setting for the largest cohort to date, with of almost 100 students coming together to begin their Eu-HEM journey. Team-building activities gave participants the opportunity to get to know one another and build connections from the beginning. The program also included exploring the city of Bologna, the first destination in their international study journey. In addition, there were information sessions where not only faculty but also current students shared valuable insights into life in the Joint Master’s Degree and presented the four specializations:
The program offers four options of academic specialization. Depending on the chosen specialization, students study at least at two of the four partner universities. When moving between universities, students are supported by Local Coordinators and the respective department Office Teams who help ensure a smooth transition. A range of additional activities adds to the curriculum, including conference visits, a joint Summer school and a Career Event. This allows students to expand their knowledge and build an international network.
